LEDCOR 10

Throughout the year, one of our hard-working team members sits down to answer the 10 big questions about work, fun, life, Maui, life on Maui, and of course, food!

We are pleased to bring you this Q&A with Casey Lamb, Development Coordinator

Ledcor 10

1

If you had one free, perfect day on Maui, how would you spend it? (give us all the details!)

Wake up to a slow morning, sip down an espresso shot and take my dog out for a walk. Drive to Baked on Maui for breakfast listening to songs from my father’s generation and then find myself on Oneloa Beach (commonly called Big Beach) for the rest of the afternoon until sunset.

2

What is your all-time favorite comfort food? (secret family recipes encouraged : )

Grilled cheese and tomato soup with some chocolate milk.

3

If you could sit down for a cup of Maui-grown coffee with one person, who would that be? (they don’t have to be alive)

Kobe Bryant

4

What is your favorite travel story? (it might be your best travel moment, or it might be your worst!)

Doors-off helicopter tour of Kaua‘i

5

What three adjectives would your best friend use to describe you? (yes, you can ask them!)

Resilient, strong, determined

6

What is one thing about yourself that you would like to improve? (just don’t say you’re a perfectionist)

My impatience, even after five years on Maui.

7

What has been your proudest career moment so far? (maybe an award received, a promotion merited, or just a moment when you felt fulfilled)

Being involved with building a community from the moment the first o’o stick moved dirt to the last paint brush stroke.

8

If you weren’t building communities, what would you be doing? (think early aspirations, designing rocketships, etc.)

I would be a full-time creator, creating digital media, taking photographs and creating videos, things I already do on the side.

9

What is your favorite Hawaiian word? (why is it meaningful to you?)

Pueo, I see them often while driving at night and have always had a strong connection with owls. When I see them I feel I’m on the right path.

10

What is something Maui has taught you? (yep, Mother Maui teaches all of us in one way or another)

It has taught me an immense amount of gratitude, from small moments like seeing the morning light grace the ocean to the relationships I have formed that have furthered my belief that we all need to look out for one another.
