Throughout the months of September and October, Festivals of Aloha events are happening across Maui nui. 

Festivals of Aloha celebrates Hawaiian culture, traditions and the aloha spirit through hula, mele and mo’olelo. Festivities include premier musical performances such as Richard Ho‘opi‘i Leo Ki‘eki‘e Falsetto Contest, female falsetto contest, Carmen Hulu Lindsey Leo Ki‘eki‘e Falsetto Contest and Hula is the Heartbeat. 

This year’s theme is “Hahai nō ka Ua i ka Ululā‘au” (Rains Always Follow the Forests) was selected by Kumu Hula Cody Pueo Pata. 

From October 24 to 26, Festivals of Aloha will be at Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea with a variety of complimentary activities open to members of the public to attend including local artisans and music performances. 

On Saturday evening at 6pm “Hula is the Heartbeat” features performances from four esteemed Hula Hālau. Complimentary shuttle service is available. For more information about these events visit the Four Seasons Resort Maui at Wailea’s website here.
