Ledcor Maui Supports
Kaho'olawe Island Reserve Commission
On November 22, members of the Ledcor Maui team were honored to attend I Ola Kanaloa, a fundraiser in support of Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission and Protect Kahoʻolawe ʻOhana. The event is in advance of the 50th anniversary of the first landing at Kahoʻolawe in 1976 which began the movement to end military destruction of Kahoʻolawe. The evening also celebrated the restoration efforts of both Kahoʻolawe Island Reserve Commission and Protect Kahoʻolawe ʻOhana.
A special honor was given to Anna Palomino, a native plant expert, who has made significant contributions to rare plant propogation and restoration efforts on Kahoʻolawe and Maui.
Mahalo nui to Mākena Golf & Beach Club for hosting this fundraiser at Hale Pili.
