Makana no nā Keiki 2024
A Grand Success!
On December 5, 2024 over 100 keiki gathered enjoyed a festive day of shopping at locally owned stores at Queen Ka‘ahumanu as Ledcor Maui concluded its second annual Makana no Nā Keiki (Gifts for Children) program.
This yearʻs Makana no nā Keiki raised an impressive $105,000, for three local organizations: Maui Youth & Family Services (MYFS), Boys & Girls Clubs of Maui (BGCM), and the Friends of the Children’s Justice Center of Maui that provide great support and programs for our the children in our community.
Through the generous support of Ledcor Maui, ʻĀina Momona, and numerous community partners, Maui keiki received gift cards to shop for Christmas gifts at Na Koa, Tanoa, and Shapers, all locally owned businesses.

“This program has become a special way to care for our keiki, teens, and families,” said Eric Gerlach, Senior Vice President of Ledcor Maui. “Our heartfelt thanks to everyone who contributed and helped make this holiday season brighter for so many.”
The fundraiser began in October, including a corporate match from Ledcor of $40,000 along with support and donations from Wailea residents and local businesses surpassed $65,000, bringing the total to $105,000. The funds provided cash donations to the youth organization and gift cards that allowed youth to shop in the mall for themselves and their families.
